Consignment Info
Please Note
Our consignor appointment system is brand new and is not live yet! Very soon, there will be a page on our website for these appointments. Follow us on Facebook for the latest updates. If you plan on consigning with us, feel free to read through this brand new Consignment Info page ahead of time.
-
When can I consign my items?
We have appointments available on Fridays and Saturdays. These appointments are available on our website under “Consignor Appointments.” Our appointment slots open up for booking 14 days in advance.
-
What to expect when I come into my appointment?
Please read through all consignment information on this page and our Consignor Appointments page to understand our intake procedure.
-
How long do my items remain on consignment?
Our consignment period is 60 days from when we log your items. After we log your consignment, you will be emailed an item list and your expiration date. It is the responsibility of the consignor to keep track of this date. If you would like to pick up any unsold items, you must be at the store on or before the expiration date to locate and retrieve your items. Our staff can tell you what items were unsold and then it is the responsibility of the consignor to find them in the store. Otherwise these items will go to donation. If you would prefer your unsold items get donated to charity, then no action is required upon your expiration date. (A majority of the time, the charity we donate to is Sauquoit Valley Friends and Neighbors.) We are not fiscally responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
-
How much do I earn?
At The Consignment Chick, we use a graduated scale to pay consignors.
- If your item sells between $1.00 to $49.99, you earn 40% of the selling price.
- If your item sells between $50.00 to $99.99, you earn 50% of the selling price.
- If your item sells between $100.00 and $199.99, you earn 60% of the selling price.
- If your items sells for over $200.00, you earn 70% of the selling price.
-
When can I collect the money I made selling my items?
As soon as an item of yours sells, the money owed will go into your account. You can build your balance up for as long as you want before cashing it out. If The Consignment Chick owes you under $20.00, you will be paid in cash. If you are owed $20.00 or more, you will be paid by a check. You may also leave your accruing money in your account and use it towards shopping at the store. It is up to the consignor to check in with us on their balance. However, the accruing money in your account never expires.
